That's our drive
emtechnik Solutec is a medium-sized company and a family business in the best sense of the word. Since its founding as PTFE-Solutec in 2002, we have been operating at our headquarters in Remscheid, Germany. From the very beginning, our focus was on thermoforming and welding of hoses. Since then, we have continuously expanded our product portfolio.
The founder and owner of PTFE-Solutec, Edgar Kluth, looks back on 50 years of industry experience in various ventures. In 2021, he laid the foundation for the next step in the company's development by handing over management to the next generation – his son André Kluth now leads the company.
That's what shaped us
As early as 1973, Edgar Kluth began building a distribution business, primarily for support rings and other sealing elements made from PTFE. These parts were used in the hydraulics of mining machinery – an important field in the energy sector of that era, which was still largely powered by coal. Later, he expanded his business with his own manufacturing, which allowed him to open new markets as the mining business declined. And today?
Well, the company spans the broad range of changes in energy and climate policy and remains very active in the energy sector today: with components for "green hydrogen" production facilities, through to parts for fuel cells, we feel equally at home in "green energy" as we do in other future-oriented industries.
The future means change
Since July 2025, we operate as "EM-Technik Solutec GmbH", continuing under the leadership of André Kluth, as part of the emtechnik-Group – the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality mini ball valves and fittings made from specialty plastics. With this strong group backing us and even greater capabilities to offer complete systems to our customers, we reaffirm our commitment as a competent partner to our clients!
